Bluetooth technology is a low-power, low-cost wireless technology for short-range radio communication between electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, PDAs, stereo headsets, MP3 players, digital cameras, PCs and computer peripherals.
There are two classes of Bluetooth that are in popular use: Bluetooth class 1 and Bluetooth class 2. Bluetooth Class 2 is commonly used on cellular, allowing to use a device that is up to 10 meters (32 feet) away. The range for Bluetooth Class 1 is 100 meters (320 feet).
Usually, laptops provide Bluetooth interface, while a desktop computer needs to plug in a Bluetooth dongle. With Bluetooth, you can transfer mobile games or mobile applications between laptop computer and mobile handset.
